Accessibility Auroville

The news today features an excerpt of an interview with Susmita as she waxes’ enthusiastically about a project she’s spearheading: Accessibility Auroville, a project for those with different physical abilities to have access to our city in all its aspects. And this weekend is Diwali: the Festival of Light. On Diwali night, little clay lamps are lighted in Hindus homes; Light is a symbol of all that’s positive. Darkness represents ignorance, and light is a metaphor for love and knowledge. Therefore, lighting a lamp symbolizes the destruction of all negative forces.
