Amazing Progress

Nine girls from different parts of India participating past three weeks in Auroville Green Practices Summer School 2015 this morning presented their work at the Africa House, Pavilion of African Culture in International Zone. Within that they have been working on the site itself helping with the construction of the community hall and compost toilet, and developed desing concepts for the volunteer/students spaces and rooms. Aim of those structures which are temporary, is to create the awareness on Africa in the community on one side, and on the other create the awareness back to Africa on Auroville, and start the proper fundraising for the building of the pavilion itself, which plan was made by Brook Teklehaimanot from Addis Abbaba, Ethiopia.
High energy and enthusiasms of girls while being exposed to ideals of Auroville is seen on their work and interaction with different groups and people.
At the end – a plea from Africa House team – since the girls are leaving hands are needed on the construction site to finish the roof.
All welcome!
