Michaels came to Auroville one year ago to be a volunteer and now he is working at SAVI at Unity Pavilion in International Zone. He is helping the other volunteers for long term commitments - like welcome and registration when arriving in Auroville, or introductory seminar to discover and understand Auroville. He is also very much enthusiastic, with some ideas how to extend the field of action of Auroville around the world and, why not, to create others communities like Auroville.

Lively and vibrant young Trishala shares with us her enthusiasm over volunteer work with Integral Animal Care just behind Edayanchavadi, and before Red Earth Riding School. Since she got a break at school she have decided to spend this time something different, wanted to be useful. And since the whole family was visiting Auroville at the time of the cyclone Thane, Trishala was very much inspired by The Dream, and by so many different possibilities to learn, to grow, and to actively participate, to see different perspectives.

Their over two months long volunteership at the Auroville Radio is about to end. In the conversation we find what triggered them to choose the Radio to contribute to the city. For Maria, an architect and artist, is the good place to connect all the ideas, all the facts, it is the right place to communicate to the entire world, and for the time being the only archive of most of the things that happen with accessibility to all. To Guiseppe, experimental anthropologist, radio is a good point where the wind come and stay together in peace Read more

A wall is not necessarily only a wall; from this idea came an inspiration to create a musical wall explains Manu, an architect and one of the caretakers at International House, in the International Zone. Carma and Leonardo arrived just in time, and with the right skills to implement this idea. Leonardo started to work on instruments right away in cooperation and technical support from Swaram, and after two months of extensive work, some instruments were ready to be use, and placed into or next to the wall. Discussion was on musical walls and other topics, with the sound of instruments played, all made from recycled materials.

Steffi, a volunteer from Germany who joined our team for good ten months just left. In the interview with Andrea we found out how she sees Auroville, its idea, life... As she said, she hasn't evolved so much on the professional level of radio speaker and journalist because that was the line of work she was already doing in Germany, but Auroville brought more clarity in her life. Trough yoga and some other activities she participated in she's not only more clear about her life, and life goals, but she's also more happy, contented with herself, but, as she said, she hasn't explore all of it yet. Here she met many talented and creative people, and was amazed over the quality of cultural life and events. Auroville she sees as a project in process, and positive for its continuation.
