 Kathy and Bhavana, represent two generations of Aurovilians involved in direct action with the villagers who have lived in this region since before Auroville was incorporated in 1968.Both women talk about their journeys to Auroville, how village action came to be, and how the mission of the group has been co-created by Aurovilians and villagers. They also speak to the complexities of educating village children with Auroville's liberal and experiential educational philosophies, and considering the more traditional expectations that village people have for their children.
