Elvira shortly presented history, and how the number of residents invoked the need for more formal governance in the form of a delegate system in order to interact with outer world and Indian Government. Changing process of governance is a slow one because in basically a process of changing ourselves.

Over the course of our conversation, he explains his approach to chanting and views on music as a way to build community. He offers ways to expand consciousness and to let our voices be heard and our selves to be healed by music. His work with 'Rainbow Chants' in particular, focuses on helping groups and individuals manifest and enjoy good vibrations. Jivan also agreed to do some chanting for this interview and the peaceful message it sends can be felt, just by listening to the recording. For him, chanting is just one tool to spread positive energy – and good times. He also talks about his three CD's, out now, and how you can get your hands on them.

| | Sunday, 15 August 2010 | On Sunday 15 th of August at Bharat Nivas in the morning was the celebration for the birthday of Sri Aurobindo and for the Independence day of India. In the opening talk of Anu we could remember that Sri Aurobidno saw that for the evolution of mankind was important for all nations to be free, and India had to take the role to start that process. In the ideal human unity this evolution would regard mankind as one single nation, that a free world union must it in its very nature be a complex unity, based on diversity, and that diversity must be based on a free self determination. Final dream was not limited in time. It carry the seeds of evolution into the future of humanity, and there we see the birth of Auroville already placed as a seed to experiment of the future of Humanity.

| | Monday, 22 November 2010 | In the series of seminars about sustainability presented by Living Routes and Auroville Green Center on 11th of November Ing-Marie and B were talking about waste. Lots have been done in last few years and awareness of ecology is rising, so in Auroville 65% of waste is pick up by Eco Service. But Eco Service itself is still facing many challenges – from inadequate infrastructure, insufficient funding, lack of strategy to work as a unit, and receive some funds from the city. Right now the most important, and urgent need is land because there's no adequate landfill for the waste that it cannot be recycle or burn, and need to be land filled. 56 Mb | |
