But It Is Done
B explains the significance of the recent publication ‘But It Is Done' in today's interview. 'But It Is Done' is a small but mighty book, composed by Dr. Kireet Joshi, a small volume revealing the reason for the Mother's Agenda as well as the reason for creating Auroville. This volume contains direct quotes of the Mother from the Agenda. It also speaks of the fact that although the Mother's work is done, our collaboration is definitely and obviously very much needed. Over seventy films are in for the reviewing, and need to be categorize and prepared for screening at the Festival. Selection Boxes

Resident Assembly Service informs us that The silver RAS boxes will be waiting to receive our Candidate Proposal Forms until Monday 5th September at the Solar Kitchen, Town Hall, PTDC and Pour Tous Aspiration. Two Candidate Proposal Forms (one for AVC members, one for WC members) will be available wherever the boxes are placed. On all locations boxes will be there until noon, at Solar Kitchen until. Weekend in Tango
Mango and Tango are words for this weekend, which, weather wise might be dry and hot. Dance, not only tango lovers, can join the workshop for tango at Arka on Saturday as Sunday, morning and afternoon, since it doesn't require partners but just socks. Both days will end by milonga - tango party. About workshop we talked with Aurevan. On the other side Solitude Farm invites us all to MANGO Saturday. Beside delicious mangoes they would like to share with us also knowledge on permaculture gardening, and inspire us to start thinking to grown our own food at our homes. Read more

Unveiling Housing Issues

Remembering Bhavana
To remember dear Bhavana Auroville Village Action Group (AVAG) would like to invite you this Saturday, to join them for a little get together to remember our great friend Bhavana Dee. On 11th of June it will be one month since she left her body. They would like to meditate together and if there are people who want to speak and remember her in a group, they would be very happy to provide the space for it. They want to connect Aurovilians, villagers and everybody else, who would like to join, in an open gathering and sharing about Bhavana. Please feel free to join them between 10 am and 11.30 am at the AVAG- Campus in Irumbai. Roads and Flowers
L'Avenir d'Auroville communication platform informs us that the first stretch of the Vikas radial road has just be opened. The second stretch, up to Arati, is planned to open by mid-July. The stretch of the Crown Road, between Arka and Surrender, will be completed by the end of this month. L'Avenir is now planning to build another stretch of the Crown Road, from Kailash up to the Pour Tous Distribution Centre. The building of the road will start in July but the clearing for the road is planned to start by the middle of June. The presence of flowers at Matrimandir Gardens are meant to help build the Consciousness of the Gardens so as to be a tool for the growth of human consciousness - for those individuals who come to visit the Gardens and Matrimandir, and for the Earth as a whole. Matrimandir Garden Team asks all of us - guests and Aurovillians alike to stop picking up flowers in the Gardens. Read more

RAS, Egypt and Films

In more than two hours long follow up, with a little bit more than sixty participants, Residence Assembly voted on temporary members of RAS to start the process of electing proper body of RAS, which will work on process of electing Working Committee and Auroville Council members who's mandate will come to an end on 22nd of June.

SAWCHU at 5pm
Last Wednesday General Meeting follow up will be tomorrow at 5pm again at SAWCHU, and you are all kindly invited to participate. The Auroville Housing needs and resources survey was completed by 175 people in Auroville. Surveys gives valuable data from a planning point of view and also a database that will allow more effective communications on housing issues with those in need. Anyone that is not included but would like to be, can call to housing service from mid June onwards where he/she will be helped to updated online. Thanks to the pilot project ‘Community Information Centre' as part of the ICITI Project, funded by Stichting De Zaaier (through PCG), we are now able to offer at Savitri Bhavan individual computer access to a large range of study materials: documents, audio and video relating to the lives, work and writings of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother. Three stations with monitor, mouse and earphones are connected to a central server. Users can browse freely and access all the materials stored in the server. Read more

Sufi and Football
If last week passed in Earth Day-Week spirit, this one will be mostly in Sufi since the visiting guest Sufi musician Latif Bolat prepared many lectures, which are all followed by concerts. Latif is a very serious and advanced Sufi scholar. And on Saturday at 8pm he and Parvathy Baul will give a concert at Sri Aurobindo Auditorium Bharat Nivas, Pavilion of Indian Culture with tittle "Songs from the heart beyond borders." In today's news we feature also interview with Johnny and children about wacky Earth Day Parade, and with Satyen about fund raising tournament for the football field at Aurodhan on Saturday at 8am.
