Our Theatre with Prelude
With Jill - member of Auroville Theatre Group, Chankaya - a writer and director of Prelud and Vivek - an actor we were trying to find out what has triggered for Prelude to come on the stage. On solo performance, where we can see how society does define one's life, the team was working more than a year, and it was a true collaboration in creative process. The main conflict of the character lies in the relationship between the mother and son, where she represents home, religious and moral backgrounds and he tries to brake those in secrecy. Read more

New Moon at Svedame
Even if it is to celebrate a New Moon, the fact is, that is always good, and needed to conect with the community at the social event, and last night has well proved it. Excellent voices of Priscila, Jeremy, and Suryan, who are all beside singers also the songwriters, have brought feeling of joy, high spirits of thoughts going beyond just visible, and yet the sense of togetherness with all present. Either their own songs, either resung the known numbers, all were well accepted, and didn't take too long to join them with singing and dancing. Read more

Anna`s Rock Band
For the conclusion of the fund raising event at Kalabhumi Anna Taj with Edo and Pierre shake the stage, and audience of course, by some solid classical rock. Sting, Rollins Stones, Patti Smith, Tina Turner....sung by Anna kept the remaining public despite late hour, excited. But before going home we were cooled down by excellent blues duo of Swaha and Anna. The event was successful not only by sweet social gathering with great music and some nice food but also on the financial side, where they managed to raised close to the needed sum.

Bridging the Polarities: Ecology
How can we overcome inherited anthropocentrism in our relationship with nature as we develop "the city the earth needs"? This week's meeting with B and Luigi brought Rishi into the studio. Rishi, from the Youth Center, shared with us his concerns about the direction in which Auroville is heading and its relationship with the natural area which has grown over the past 40 years. We resolved the discussion acknowledging the climate of understanding which we had birthed and setting intention for dialogue to continue on this and other topics. Read more

The walls of reality
The walls of reality: shedding our evolutionary impediments : Seeing the world from inside out, normally we humans are not aware that our perceptions of Reality are not direct, and therefore not really real, because we are enclosed within the deforming walls of the evolutionary species to which we belong. This existential way of being became critically important in the experiments of quantum physics, where Reality remains indefinable and only the interaction of the scientific instruments with Reality can be interpreted.

True philosophy- West and East
‘Philosophy had become too much a thing of abstractions, a seeking for abstract truths in a world of ideas and words rather than what it should be, a discovery of the real reality of things.’ (Sri Aurobindo) True philosophy in the East, but originally also in the West, was indeed a search for mental truth but at the same time for ways to apply such truth to life. Essentially the true philosopher is a yogi and the yogi a philosopher.
