Alex is an Italian fellow in a wheel chair. By following his daily routine, people will may understand better the problem of accessibility in Auroville. It's the aim of the documentary 'Sometimes, I can fly', produced by Susmita, an activist who is working on pulling down the architectonic barriers in Auroville.This documentary is part of 'We care film festival' of Delhi. You are all invited to watch the movie on the 3rd of April, 5 pm, Cinema Paradiso. Susmita and Alex will also interact with teenagers in Future School the 29th of March, 1 pm.

In today's news we are featuring Jesse announcing Sorcery at Sea, a musical which we can see tomorrow and Saturday at 8pm at Sri Aurobindo Auditorium, Bharat Nivas, Pavilion of Indian Culture in International Zone. Sunday the auditorium at 7.30pm will host The New South Africa Jazz Collective presented by Indian Council for Cultural Relations in collaboration of Auroville Foundation. On Sunday at 5pm at unity Pavilion German Pavilion presents Der Anfang vom Ende (play by Kafka und Beckett) with Thomas and Nikolaus Deutsch.

As we all know housing is a big problem at the moment in Auroville. But with this new housing project there is light at the end of the tunnel. This project will provide 20 flats for single, couples and families starting from Rs 13 lakhs. There is also provision for modular office spaces. In this phase they will incorporate a new and innovative building technology called Light Steel Frame (LSF) for the structure. This technology is known for faster construction and its cost-effectiveness.

Professor Dr. Don Hanlon Johnson is in Auroville. Today was the first day of a two days workshop about the role that body practices play in the spiritual transformation of the individual. The participants explored how be consciously aware in the physical body. Followed by a discussion on how physical touch can heal the physical body and also emotional scars of the past. Professor Johnson is the founder of the Somatics Program, the first of its kind, established in 1983.

Interesting session where the discussion revolved around the present state of the International Zone and the possible courses of action. Spiruline, a magic waterplant identified as the food of the future for its fantastic healthy components is produced in Auroville since 15 years, the local climate adds an important criterium of quality : SUNDRIED, so the plants don't lose any quality during that process . This farming is expending in terms of quantity and variety, including news plants often produced outside the farm (alfalfa ........) as new kinds of farm products .
The farm is now totally located in Windarra farm.
More than a job for the workers , a daily slice of life.

After electrical fire two week back at the rooms of the Entry Service in Town Hall, the facilities are already restored, and beside only missing fans things work as usual. As members of the Entry Service Team explains it was due to the quick response of the several working teams as ACUR, Blue Light, BCC and Electrical Service, moral and enthusiastic support , and understanding of many that they have been able to return to their work in merely a week after the fire.

Gathered residents yesterday clearly expressed many doubts, and over all was the tone that we still don't know enough to take a clear decision if YES or NO. Decision making process supposed to start this Friday, and end in two week. The fact is that Auroville needs to consolidate and protect the land of the master plan, where green belt is of huge importance. The question would be which price are we prepare to pay?

With Jill - member of Auroville Theatre Group, Chankaya - a writer and director of Prelud and Vivek - an actor we were trying to find out what has triggered for Prelude to come on the stage. On solo performance, where we can see how society does define one's life, the team was working more than a year, and it was a true collaboration in creative process. The main conflict of the character lies in the relationship between the mother and son, where she represents home, religious and moral backgrounds and he tries to brake those in secrecy.

Infrastructure cable, Crown Road, Master Plan and Development Priorities issues was the topics of the meeting with the town planners of l'Avenir d'Auroville. The meeting was called by residents of Centre Field and Aurodam inviting other Aurovilians to come forward and share their feelings and experiences. The two hours of meeting touched many aspects of the planning work and the ground realities. In this the last lecture of the series of 4 Nishtha brought back the rhythm and tone that was used originally in Sarasvati. So instead of having the dry mechanical tone and rhythm we now have the chants by the Rishis in beautiful poetic sounds and rhythms as was heard originally in the vision and spiritual experience of the Rishis of the Rig-Veda. Nishtha has translated all main and sub-hymns to the Goddess Sarasvati in the Rig-Veda. Comments of Sri Aurobindo's book 'The Secret of the Veda' where also included.

Tyler Carson, a volunteer at Village Action Group, has came to Auroville in the group of twelve as their part of intership of the study on integrative energy healing. Their study in Seattle is a three years program design to incorporate teachings from India(Vedic system), China(meridian system) and North American Native tradition in order for students to know how to use the universal energy in order to promote healing in the body. Tyler is working on sound healing by allowing his heart to be open to the Divine while making the music.

Chloe joined Hartmut for 3 songs, she played on the transversal flute and Bansuuri. Then Hartmut closed the concert for us with some great piano play. Hartmut was born in Germany and has come to Auroville nine years ago.

This is the third lecture about the Goddess Sarasvati. Nishtha translated and explained more of the poetry. He has translated all main and sub-hymns to the Goddess Sarasvati in the Rig-Veda. Participants had a chance to hear how the Rishis of the Rig-Veda chanted what they heard and saw in the spiritual worlds as they where invoking the Goddess Sarasvati. There will be a succeeding lecture on Wednesday in Verite Hall from 3-5 pm.

We had the pleasure of listening to Tugay playing traditional melodies from Turkey. He has been visiting Auroville regular for the past few years. He was playing the Ney a traditional sufi wind instrument. The Ney is an end-blown flute originating from Iran that figures prominently in Middle Eastern music. In some of these musical traditions, it is the only wind instrument used. The ney has been played continuously for 4500 - 5000 years, making it one of the oldest musical instruments still in use.
