Minutes of General Meeting on Auroville Water Maintenance Service to clear out the dead point on the unit(or service???) closure, splitting assets...In the goodwill of all present resident, with the reminder of Residents Assembly Service before the beginning to keep it to the agenda which was (except little outburst of "washing the laundry") kept at most of the time, the meeting was steered in real process of work - collective yoga. Result is a suggestion that last existing team along with Marcus and Dirk find the proposal for the new AWMS.

A community interaction with the Governing Board happened on Saturday 6th of April at 6.00 pm in SAWCHU.
A good number of residents came to meet with Dr Karan Singh (chairman of the Auroville Fundation) and the members of the Governing Board. The discussion was open by a short introduction by the chairman Dr. Karan Singh. During the meeting the residents spoke about internal issues and policies to protect the development of Auroville.
Later on on most of the participants attended to the community dinner at Solar Kitchen.

In today's news we are featuring Manu and Swapnil talking on the Cartoon Exhibition on Affordable Housing prepared by 14 concerned architects along with L'Avenir d"aAuroville which will be on display at Town Hall and Solar Kitchen until 12th. They are asking the community for feedback. We are also featuring an excerpt of interaction of Governing Board with the community past Saturday with Paulette and Dr. Karan Singh talking on UNESCO and AV as a World Heritage Site. Today at 4.30pm at Marc's Cafe at Visitor Center - Earth Day meeting.

The Rwandan Student's Association would like to invite the International Society from Auroville for the 19th Commemoration of Genocide Against The Tutsi,held in Annamalai University on 7th.Ffrom 7pm we will start with Walk to Remember,in memory of beloved one and as a sign of journey to the Vision of our Country,Rwanda. Featured are minutes of yesterday's General Meeting at Unity Pavilion in International Zone which was very well attended. Proposed agenda was about Working Committee sharing agenda points fro the upcoming Governing Board, which they have received from the Secretary's office : 1. process for procedure for selection of WC. 2. suggestions on term&mandated for the WC. 3.process&procedure for constituting various working groups of the RA.4. suggestions on securing land for the Master Plan&manifesting the city. That agenda was impossible to keep.

General Meeting tomorrow at 4.30pm at Unity Pavilion in International Zone with agenda: 1 Working Commitee will share the Agenda Points for the upcoming Governing Board which they have received from the Secretary's office, and will invite the comments and suggestions of the residents, which they will communicate to the Governing Board. 2 Update on the work towards solving the issues discussed during the previous GM. On April 5, 6, and 7th at CRIPA in Kalbhumi will be a Three-day International Dance Workshops with three choreographers.

On Saturday evening, September 8, 2012, there was an interaction between the members of the Governing Board, the International Advisory Council and the residents of Auroville at the Solar Kitchen. During this gathering, Dr. Karan Singh addressed the Aurovilians and gave a touching speech. Each member of the GB and IAC expressed their experience during their tenure and their deep appreciation of Auroville. Later, the Chairman presented the first twelve identity cards (issued by the Auroville Foundation) to Aurovilians.

Meeting between Mr. Bala Baskar, the Secretary of Auroville Foundation, Working Committee members and L'Avenir d'Auroville/ Town Development Council on future planning and developing the city had an explorative character. Opinions and ideas given on what should be the priority while focusing on the future and present situation hold different approaches - some with totally agreement by all, some slightly different, and some strongly disagreed. In order to present the possible future to Governing Board they need to be summarized and agreed upon.

Within a short visit of Engineers Without Borders from Australia Elvira introduced to them governance and working groups as a part of evolving process which should lead us to the Divine Anarchy, as The Mother named it. Elvira shortly presented history, and how the number of residents invoked the need for more formal governance in the form of a delegate system in order to interact with outer world and Indian Government. Changing process of governance is a slow one because in basically a process of changing ourselves.

In today news we feature short interview with Gilles about Town Development Council which was recognized and is supported by district authority of Villupuram as a legal body of of the Auroville Fundation. Governing Board empowered L'Avenir d'Auroville to be Town Development Council, and in the area of master plan all have to follow its guidance and rules for the development, but those does not apply in the nearby villages. This morning a new stretch of crown road toward Vikas was open.
