The last evolution in our cultural cyber-space shown us that something is happening and our technologies are just following our dreams and visions. From the last 30 years, an international network is on progress, internet is just the first stone of an integral structure that will show up his face. By going from personal computer (PC) to cloud computing, a new dimension of calculation is now open to everybody, everywhere. The next step in this evolution is cloud computing, a super computer shared by all, the "one" is on the way like an international library of knowledge and experience... but for what purpose? maybe to access a complete overview of our very limited mental world and to offer a way to go beyond.

A presto amici! mp3/2010_01_13_interview_apresto_auroville_mattia_italian_ed.mp3&totalTime=11:08 Saturday, 16 January 2010

Although community activity is as old as humans, these sorts of tools – now called "social software" -- have only appeared in the last decade. They represent a fundamentally new way for humans to interact, and will transform the world as much as the printing press and the telephone. In Auroville, Social Software tools have the potential to allow faster consensus decision-making with broader participation, make knowledge available without centralized editor / librarian and enable efficient bartering and sharing of goods, services, resources etc Jonathan Stray has given a talk today on this topic. He has an MSc in Computer Science, manages an arts collective in San Francisco, and researches and writes about technology and society. Click here to downlaod the PDF presentation . During October Jean-Francois Noubel visited Auroville in order to stimulate interest in an interactive session on collective intelligence, wisdom and consciousness. In this, a new way of collaboration was offered which can put an unlimited number of people in touch who care to work together via Internet, similar to Wikipedia. As the quality and result of human effort depends on a structure of organization whether it be as a team, as pyramidal or collaborative, the structure is of vital importance. Noubel's presentation proposed a unique way of structuring an organization. Wednesday, 07 November 2007

A group of media practitioners, advocates and journalists met in Auroville to form the South India Community Media Network. This will ensure that the voice of every person can be heard and be accessible through community radio. To make it possible, the group urges the government of India to make the license application process a simple one. Also to be emphasized is the use of low-cost technology and, importantly, the freedom to broadcast news. Here an interview with the Ashis Sen (VOICES), member of AMARC and also part of the Community Radio Foum (India). This event has been broadcasted live and recorded. The "Mind of the Cells" and Auroville Tuesday 7th of February - Conference Room Town Hall The quantum realm is the space of magic in modern physics. At the infinitesimal Planck scale, virtual particles flash in and out of existence with no apparent cause, yet are apparently the first cause of the subatomic particles and energy fields which eventually concatenate up to all of so-called material reality. In this talk, we'll cover this and more, accompanied with actual electron microscope images of the microtubular structures within human brain cells. And we'll present evidence indicating that this evidence of individual quantum consciousness might be being expanded by non-local quantum effects to a collective Unity field coordinating a flood of breakthroughs around the world, that the process of supramentalization initiated by work of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother is in fact demonstrably well begun. - RON ANASTASIA Read more Friday, 03 February 2006

A presentation by Dr. Roger Nelson Thursday December 29, 5.30 pm at Savitri Bhavan New Hall. Dr. Roger Nelson is Director of the Global Consciousness Project at Princeton University, one of the most prestigious universities in the USA. He is in India just now and will be visiting the Ashram and Auroville on 29th and 30th December. At the suggestion of our friend Sraddhalu, Dr. Nelson has agreed to give a presentation on the Global Consciousness Project. Dr. Roger Nelson is Director of the Global Consciousness Project which is an international effort based in Princeton University. The project uses about 65 sensors distributed all over the world to detect what appears to be a global consciousness field that seems to embrace both the human mind and all material objects. Whenever a large number of human beings are aligned in thought or united in consciousness at some deeper level, these instruments measure a physical change in the random vibrations of atoms. This is the first time that science has been able to detect variations in the collective human consciousness using entirely material instruments. The kinds of events that have caused measurable changes include terrorist attacks, football matches, natural disasters, and mass meditations. Dr. Nelson will speak of the work done so far and its profound implications. For further information, see http://noosphere.princeton.edu Wednesday, 28 December 2005
