What Auroville Needs?
Yesterday's very well attended General Meeting on proposed large land exchange in North Eastern Greenbelt by The Land Matters Task Force (LMTF) clearly showed that the decision will not be easy. Members of community are divided by which way to follow - either trust to an logical explanations or to follow heart while deciding on such an important matter as it is large land exchange or land sale. As somebody commented - "we really need to go within to derive to the common conclusion what would be the best for Auroville"... Read more

WMS #2
Yesterday's continuation from 10th of April on Water Maintenance Service brought up two, three and the fourth proposal. Members of the community were trying to establish what might have been the real cause of friction between all those involved in activities of WMS. By that it was clear that maybe in the community itself the distinctions between services and units are vague, and that maybe it is time that we do remember again what is the purpose of one or another. Conclusions? unit should carry on working until new proposal for next 2 months. Read more

Voyage interieur part 3
... I heard a sound, music, vibration, what do I know? All my senses alert, happy then I'm off in search of musicians in Auroville and I asked them, full of curiosity: "what do you mean in the petals of Matrimandir when you meditate?"

A Call for Rain
With a present shortfall of nearly 50 cm. below the average annual rainfall, Auroville and its bioregion desperately need more rain and soon, if the aquifers are to be topped up, providing adequate water for next year. In these circumstances are we powerless? Aurovilian Tim thinks not. Tim points out that we have the powers of prayer and visualisation available to us, and that now seems the time to use them. How to do this: daily ask for, pray for and/or visualise rain falling. There's nothing to lose; perhaps Lord Varuna will acquiesce. Read more

Water? By Gilles Boulicot

Water for Auroville, an urgent issue! by Gilles Boulicot was at Cinema Paradiso. It emerged that there is more than one way to solve the problem of scarcity of water in the Auroville land and around it. To face this problem it is important to use multi-sourcing. There are many ways to improve today’s situation. First of all the relationship with neighbouring towns is a necessity for the hydrogeological environment. There is only one for the entire region. Today at 3 pm in Citadine is a meeting to form a group of people to manage about it. Read more
