Cycle of life

This project consists of two poems that I chose to read aloud and they are accompanied by music. The first poems is called “The Cycle Of Life “it explains how the cycle of life goes. This poem is anonymous. The second poem is called ” Leisure ” and its by William Henry Davies and its about free time and it talks about, that we do not have time to just do nothing in life.

Cycle of Life /
Life, like a cloud /
Rises from tree and sea /
Life, like a stream /
Rains from the cloud /
Life, like a river /
Collects from the stream /
Life, like the ocean /
Gathers from the river /
Over and underground /
Life, in an endless cycle /
Goes on round and round. /

William Henry Davies – Leisure

What is this life, if full of care, /
We have no time to stand and stare? /

No time to stand beneath the boughs /
And stare as long as sheep or cows. /

No time to see when wood we pass, /
Where squirrels hide their nuts in grass. /

No time to see in broad daylight /
Streams full of stars, like skies at night. /

No time to turn at Beauty glance, /
And watch her feet how they can dance, /

No time to wait till her mouth can
Enrich that smile her eyes began.

A poor life this if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.
