DVD screening Wednesday, 11th January from 4 to 5.30pm at the Multimedia Centre, Town Hall.
In Rishi Valley, Andhra Pradesh, an alternate innovative educational method is in use for the last 20 years in 16 primary schools in the villages surrounding the main school. Separate self-study cards, containing the learning activities for the subject content of the first 4 standards of the primary level, are used there.
The primary level students take out those cards in a sequence and learn the subject content by themselves. School without Walls shows how this learning is in full harmony with their beautiful surroundings, as well as with their community, teachers and other students. The French director M. Robert André, who will be with us during the show, has done an excellent work. The film brings out vividly the joy of learning felt by the students.
Organised by Isai Ambalam School.
