Sitar and Tabla
Last Monday night at Pitanga, the amazing sitar player Nikhil played along with Rashmi on his tabla. The equally gifted musicians were playing together for the first time ever. It was a true joy to the ears to witness them perform at Pitanga. Nikhil played ragas, melodic modes used in Indian classical music. This performance being the first where they were playing together,
Rashmi fluently improvised to Nikhil’s tunes. We are happy to say he did a flawless job. Complementing each other, they brought the concert to a musical climax.
