Songs of Kabir

Afternoon was turning slowly into a night when Bindumalini and Vedanth Bharadwaj started with their concert of Songs of Kabir at Adishakti within one month long festival “Remembering Veeenapni Chawla”.
Through mystical poems of Kabir some life truths are revealed with  simple examples. And sung with such a sweet voices as are Bindu’s and Vednath’s …one is more likely to accept it. But Bindu and Vednath are also not afraid to go over the borders of Kabir, either be by musical form or by completely different style.

When the inertia comes up the old movements which the subconscient is prepared to supply always can mechanically come up with it. In a certain sense this inertia and the peace are the bright and dark counterparts of each other , tamas and sama -the higher Nature finding repose in peace, the lower seeking it in a relaxation of energy and a return towards the subconscient, tamas.
