Narad describes the World-Redeemer. He is imperishable, wise and infinite. He must travel Hell to save the world. Then he describes the Titan, the adversary force of blind power and ego. Man must avoid his adverse influences and not follow the Titan's way.
Pain is the hammer of the Gods to break a dead resistance in the mortal's heart. Where ignorance is, there too suffering must come. Man must overcome an ancient adversary force, a hidden foe lodged within his breast. This is the inner war without escape.
Savitri's mother voices the suffering complaint of the surface soul in man and his revolt against his ignorant, fate because her daughter's fate seems doomed and she cannot understand why.
