Sound Bath by Svaram

Svaram is a Musical Instrument Research and Development center that makes innovative musical instruments. The center ‘s creative director is Aurelio (http://www.auroville.org/contents/4021) who believes in the ability of music to transcend spiritual barriers.
According to the people at Svaram, the lowest use of music is merely aesthetic. The second is intellectual and the third and highest is spiritual.
The use of music to heal is an ancient art, and it has been revived here in Auroville.
Using many of their fabulous instruments, the sound bath was literally a flow of harmony and music through the body. Aurelio started by guiding the audience into a state of relaxation. The 50- 60 attendees, some meditating, some laying down to relax, all witnessed the language of pure sound.
The performance was not guided by a temporal harmony, beats and measures, but rather by the sound of sound itself. The whole body was a large ear.
To know more, give them a listen. Live, if possible.
You can get more information on Svaram, Auroville from the link below.

Transpersonal Regression by Yuvraj

Every had the feeling of not belonging to this planet ?? Well dont suppress your feeling as Yuvraj Kapadia explains about transpersonal regression. Yuvraj Kapadia is here for 3 days in Auroville to meet with Psychologists and therapists to create sharing. Sigrid had organized a meet for Aurovillians with Yuvraj in order for everyone to get an introduction what is and what can transpersonal regression do for a person. His theory of creation and the cosmos was very intriguing and even if doesn’t necessarily agree with our normal logic but from the psychic sense, there is a lot that Yuvraj had to illuminate within us, a rare treat for students and practicioners of psychology to have a open dialogue with him. A true knowledge bank of all that there exist, he was quite casual in delivering, what would be, life altering facts for some people.
To contact or meet with Yuvraj you can contact Sigrid as she is facilitating him in Auroville as a guest. Also watch out for a exclusive interview with him in the radio to get deeper insights about deeper realms of our being.

Bantu Ubuntu at the Youth Centre

United Nations International Youth Day is three weeks from now, but the young volunteers of Auroville have come together to express their emotions, as logical and physical and imperfection; in the triangle which is “Be creative, Be conscious and Be sharing in the Peaceful City (the Youth Centre of Auroville)”.

Samy, a Rwandan student is currently a volunteer at the Youth Centre,  and the Tree house Community. He has been a part of Auroville community for two years now and is seeking a transformation of the Human heart. He has initiated a three day fundraising event for his safari(journey) on the way back to his home country, during which he will be doing research on “What is the relation between drums and humans” and “Dance movement therapy”.

Samy says, Bantu Ubuntu is the language of Humankind in Zulu and therefore has taken it as an agenda for this event mainly to symbolize human relations and transformation, like a rhythm of drums.

A pizza night, bonfire, candle crafting, macrame, body psychology workshop, Korean dinner with kimpap and isombe from Rwanda were all part of this spectacular summer monsoon – Bantu Ubuntu Infinity.

“Integration, togetherness, coordination, expression and engagement of the youth in the various societal activities would definitely bring peace and harmony to the world we live”.
