The Cabaret Evening
Last Friday, the 19th of March, there was a fundraising event in order to help performing artists in Auroville: The Cabaret Evening. It included live music, theater, dance, mime show and many more things. Auroville Performing Arts is an association of directors, singers, dancers, actors and technicians willing to coordinate their artistic and technical energy to offer the best conditions of work and performance for aurovillian and non-aurovillian performers. This project was about enlisting performers and fund-raising, to enable organizing schedules for venues, equipment and engineers, getting money to maintain the equipment and to support performing artists, to attract external performers to enrich the artistic life in Auroville and also in order to spread the Auroville experience.
