Youth concerned by accessibility

Susmita, the producer of the documentary ‘Sometimes I can fly‘ about accessibility, organized a talk with the teenagers of Future School and Alex, the Italian fellow in a wheel chair of the movie. After watching the documentary, the students seemed very interested by the topic and asked many questions, not only about how to make accessibility in Auroville but also about Alex’s travels in India. They’re very impressed by his courage.
They even took pictures with him as a star, exchanged phone number and suggested to organise a dinner with him !

HW & SW Do It Yourself

Cesare Montresor presents a different way to access to goods and technology, getting the inspiration from the world community.
“Opensource Hardware”, “Community FabLab” and the “Do It Yourself” philosophy are the main concepts to enable a high quality, local and flexible production while providing a public infrastructure for knowledge, creativity and continuous learning. By enabling aurovilians to produce their own goods, a community fablab would on the long run become a way to grow toward a more self-sufficient and sustainable community.
