About By2Blues
By2Blues was founded by Ananth Menon and Vasudev Prabhu, in 2011. After several
successful gigs as a duo, By2Blues inducted Joe Anthony into the band in 2015. Today,
By2Blues is a well-known classic blues trio. United by a deep and abiding love for the
blues, Ananth, Dev and Joe present the blues with refreshing simplicity and honesty.
By2Blues plays classic blues and a bit of blues-rock in a highly original style. The bands
unique sound is a blend of powerful vocals, rock-solid rhythm and honkin harmonica.
The band has an eclectic repertoire comprising several of their own compositions and
interesting versions of popular songs by blues legends such as Stevie Ray, Clapton,
Junior Wells, Muddy Waters, Paul Butterfield, Keb Mo, Billy Branch, Taj Mahal, CCR, Neil
Young, Robert Johnson, Willie Dixon and several other legends.
The trio is often hailed for being true to the blues as an art form and for weaving
together a sound that can be surprisingly big.
