Audible Weed Walk – Ep.68 “Grains to get out of the blues and films about food”

Grains to get out of the blues and films about food : What does a foodie do to get out of the blues brought in by a human-induced flood the deluge brought, and the lack of reaction to address it? Of course, turn to comfort food. For an easterner there is perhaps nothing as comfortable as rice and veggies boiled together, few or many. In my case I turned to a GI tagged single-origin rice from a variety that is available in India. What does this term mean? Do they help me make a choice. I must say the rice, the ghee, the chili in brine that formed my meal — were all carefully kept specialty products for me, not part of my regular grocery. Is that sustainable? We may get back to the topic in a few weeks. But for now I would like to alert you to a wonderful foodie film festival, called The Kirloskar Vasundhara International Film Festival to be held from 14 to 17 December 21. A film requested and sponsored by the team on my weedwalk will feature on the 15th. Registration is free.
