Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU) announced that they will put up a pavilion at the COP27 to be held in Egypt in November. This will bring the topics, they hope, to the center stage for climate action. Personally, I could not help being surprised that it has taken the Conference of Parties (COP) 26 meets to decide food is an essential part of climate action. Back at home to ensure we are climate resilient – weedy, uncultivated, wild food holds a lot of promise, as do local varieties of food and grains and not the fortified GMO kinds. But as consumers, you and I, are we discerning enough to be truly sensitive, and sustainable in our food choices?
