Narad describes the World-Redeemer. He is imperishable, wise and infinite. He must travel Hell to save the world. Then he describes the Titan, the adversary force of blind power and ego. Man must avoid his adverse influences and not follow the Titan's way.

Pain is the hammer of the Gods to break a dead resistance in the mortal's heart. Where ignorance is, there too suffering must come. Man must overcome an ancient adversary force, a hidden foe lodged within his breast. This is the inner war without escape.

Fate - Must fire always test the great of soul ? Savitri tells her parents she has chosen to marry Satyavan. They worry that this marriage has an adverse fate. Narad, the all-knowing Divine Messenger says no cry or prayer can turn Savitri from her path.

Narad, the Divine Messenger speaks of Savitri's beauty, changed by love. He shows that he knows what has happened to her and what will happen to her. He gives a covert warning of doom. The King asks for the blessing of a sorrowless life for his daughter.
