Savitri declares that God is all Darkness and all Light. He is both in one, beginningless and without end. All contraries are aspects of God. Her goddess self grows visible in her eyes when she begins to speak.
Savitri declares her freedom. She says that God's spirit in man is here on earth to be free and to build great stuff of action from the worlds, and love and beauty out of war and night.
Savitri shows her immortality to Death. She tells him that she lives in the glory of the Infinite and her heart has grown one with every heart. Her spirit's immortal liberty must be for all mankind.
Death tries again to convince Savitri that there is no God and man can never change.
Savitri tells Death her mind has no darkness; to her the secrets of the gods are plain. She knows that the relationship between the eternal bridegroom and eternal bride is the fire from which the alters of the gods are lit.
Love must not cease to live upon the earth. Love must soar beyond the very heavens and find it's secret sense ineffable; it must change its human ways to ways divine, yet keep its sovereignty of earthly bliss.
The creation was made for joy. A mystic slow transfiguration works. The heart that loved man thrills to the love of God. When all is known and all is clasped by Love, who would turn back to ignorance and pain?
Savitri tells Death that he has caused all the things he criticizes in man. God made the world for his delight, but the Bliss that made the world has fallen asleep and a darkness occupied the fields of God.
Savitri reveals the reasons for our difficulties on earth's million roads towards God. Our mortal gaze peers with ignorant eyes. It has no gaze on the dep heart of things. Yet Light is there. A thousand aspects point back towards the One.
