Beema bamboo production explained by Dr. Barathi
On Saturday 9 th March 2019 Dr. Barathi was invited at SAIIER Conference room by Auroservice and Auroville Bamboo Center.
Dr. Bharati is a national and international pioneer and leading scientist in agricultural
biotechnology. After years of research, he has developed by tissue culture, a high yielding
variety of Bambusa Balcova which he has called Beema bamboo.
He shared his ground experience of the environmental and socio-economic advantages of Beema bamboo which can be used in the following areas: construction, structural application paper pulp, energy power generation, strip board, charcoal production, bio-fuel, carbon sink, oxygen parks and many others
