So describes Lloyd, his step from the life of an art-and music critic in roaring Amsterdam to the solitude of residing in a keet hut in Auroville’s Green Belt. Writing poetry, first a means to fight the loneliness, became his passion. That was 1981. Meanwhile the dedicated poet returned to “civilization” by moving into Creativity, a community in Auroville’s city area. BETWEEN THE LINES is the title of Lloyd’s book of poems on nature and love, collected in the last 17 years.
