Mother reads the part of the scientist from her play ‘The Great Secret’, and addresses the issue of whether ignorance is the only evil in man’s life. Then she defines what kind of ignorance she believes is the primary evil for mankind. She explains the problems that that the Buddha faced with his philosophy. She also explains the limitations of the scientific method of finding out about the world and how to go beyond these limitations. This week, again, we have the original recording of Mother’s class and the great good fortune to also have Mother’s reading of the part of the scientist.
