Savitri, Book II, The Book Of The Traveller Of The Worlds, Canto XII, The Heavens Of The Ideal
The Traveller enters the first world of spiritual higher mind. Although the great godheads and great thoughts at this level are a powerful part of the whole cosmic scheme, they are not the final goal. Sri Aurobindo writes that although the power of the spiritual higher mind isn’t enough to completely purify us, still it can make a first change in us. On either side of the ascending stairs of the World Stair at this level rise the two kingdoms of this plane of consciousness; the mighty kingdoms of the Deathless Rose and the mighty kingdoms of the Deathless Flame Each one gives the seeker something which helps along the way.
