Death Shows a World That Does Not Progress
Savitri has gained some control of the downward march on Death’s dark road. Now the darkness is a little lighter. But Death gives her the experience of man’s life on earth as futile and unchanging endless repetitions without progress. He is still trying to convince Savitri that there is no God and man will never change. He says, “Hope not to call God down into his life. … All walk by Nature bound forever the same.”
