Synthesis of Yoga

Continuing in Part Two The Yoga of Integral Knowledge on page 436 Chapter 18 The Soul and Its Liberation.

Sri Aurobindo explains that in fact we have to become the Purusha, Sachidananda, God, delighting in a divine individual possession of its Pakriti, Nature, and no longer mental beings subject to our egoistic nature.

“All life, spiritual, mental or material, is the play of the soul with the possibilities of its nature; for without this play there can be no self-expression and no relative self-experience. … To stand away from God in limited ego … is to stand away from ourselves ,,, it is our power of ignorance. … To be aware of our spiritual, infinite and universal consciousness … is our power of self-knowledge. …When we get back to our true being the ego falls way from us; its place is taken by our supreme and integral self, the true individuality. … to live permanently in this new consciousness … is to attain liberation and enjoy immortality.”

To be continued in the next recording, Chapter 18 to its completion.
