Synthesis of Yoga
Sri Aurobindo has written, in his principal work on yoga, a most thorough explanation of his method of Integral Yoga in the Synthesis of Yoga; in it he also examines the methods of traditional yogas.
This recording is of the second half of Chapter 11, The Perfection of Equality, pages 702 – 708.
“All that presents itself here in our outward nature in perverse or imperfect forms has a significance and utility which come out when we get back to the greater truth of divine being. Love will not be destroyed, but perfected, enlarged to its widest capacity, deepened to its spiritual rapture, the love of God, the love of man, the love of all things as ourselves … “
A perfect equality is the effective condition for all our emotional nature to undergo a high liberating transformation.
The promise in the Gita is the anchor: “Take refuge in Me alone; I will deliver thee from all sin and evil; do not grieve.”
