For our perfection we need courage, will-power effective in life. There must be an established gladness, clarity and purity in the psychic life being, poised in complete equality. A faith in the heart, a belief in and will to the universal good are also necessary.
“The main business of the heart, its true function, is love.” To see oneness in the world through understanding is insufficient; it must be felt in the heart and the psychic being, resulting in a delight in the One AND in all the existences of the world in him, a love of God and all beings.
The means of this perfection of the instruments, their principal conditions are will, self-watching and self-knowledge, a constant practice of self-modification, leading to transformation.
