As Audrey mentioned , an initiative for this kind of a platform that CREEVA aims to be, was there for decades, but now it seems it will become the reality. She also sees intensive collaboration of all art mediums.

KALVI – Our Story

KALVI (Education in Tamil) was created by a group of educators engaged with Integral Education in Auroville. The unit focuses on researching and implementing games and activities for didactic purposes.
These games/activities are designed to nurture a child’s inner awareness.
KALVI is presently exploring and researching “Aurogames”, educational games developed by Auroculture. She arrived at the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry, in 1971, and moved to Auroville in the mid 1990s. She was asked by the Mother to create educational games, which she called “Aurogames”. Auroculture has given KALVI “Aurogames” to use and expand upon.
KALVI ‘s imminent plan is to develop educational materials to expand the six faculties of consciousness (thinking, seeing, hearing, speaking, vital and body). To make this work happen any support is greatly appreciated.

Art Break 2017 5th Anniversary

Listen to interviews from this year’s Art Break coordinated by Auroville’s own Art Therapist Krupa. She has created a wonderful space and opportunity for visitors and Aurovillians, family and strangers, children and parents to leave their mark on Auroville.

Swadharma #3, pt.1

17 young participants from different parts of India participated in Swadharma #3, and following program is heartful presentation of each of them. What they have discovered in 5 weeks of intensive research, journey which connected their inner selves to outer reality, and their true potentials. Among all interesting presentations poems were recited, and song sung.

The Swadharma program is a response to the call for an education for our times. It offers young seekers – age 18 to 28 – the opportunity to embark on a transformative learning adventure with the goal of self-discovery. The program is based on the idea that helping young people discover who they are and what brings them alive is not only meaningful at an individual level, but also essential for building a socially just, environmentally sustainable and consciously awakened future.

The Swadharma programme has been developed by the Auroville Campus Initiative (ACI), the department of further learning of the Sri Aurobindo International Institute of Educational Research (SAIIER) Auroville.

Desire takes a long time to get rid of entirely. But, if you can once get it out of the nature and realise it as a force coming from outside and putting its claws into the vital and physical, it will be easier to get rid of the invader. You are too accustomed to feel it as part of yourself or planted in you – that makes it more difficult for you to deal with its movements and dismiss its ancient control over you.

Taiwanese Pavilion

Taiwanese Pavilion presents Taiwanese culture.
Because of historical circumstances, Taiwan has preserved most Chinese
traditions and culture, including Confucian philosophies and traditional Chinese
calligraphy.
The culture of Taiwan is a blend of Confucianist Han Chinese and Taiwanese aborigines cultures. It also embraces Pacific island cultures and Japanese culture.
Taiwanese cuisine also has several variations: dishes from the people of Hoklo ethnicity and Aboriginal, Hakka, and local derivatives of Chinese cuisine. A notable Japanese influence also exists due to the period when Taiwan was under Japanese rule.
The main intention of the Taiwanese Pavilion is to introduce Taiwanese culture to Aurovillem, focusing on its cultural diversity.
