Jill Invites to King Lear

Short interview with Jill from the Auroville Theatre Group. and the director of the upcoming Shakespeare play “King Lear”. Jill shares some details on this classical play, which will be staged at Adishakti  on Edayanchavady Road (due to the maintenance work at Sri Aurobindo Auditorium in Bharat Nivas).
“The beauty of putting on stage a classical play, such as William Shakespeare’s King Lear, in Auroville [no less], with so many diverse actors from everywhere, lies in human unity in action.” mentioned Jill. King Lear will be set in present time, while keeping the language, in which the play was written.

King Lear will be performed on the 7th, 8th and 9th of December at 7pm, at Adishakti Theatre -Adishakti Laboratory for Theatre, Arts and Research, Edayanchavady Road.
