A conversion of man's whole mind, reason, intelligence as well as a reversal of all their methods, is what is called for. Already at work in the mind is the faculty of light, inspiration and force: the intuition. already working in the mind.
We must always be ready to abandon the past (as well as desire) and accept more light and truth. The faith of the heart will pass into knowledge; the spirit is omnipotent. Reject any mere intellectual skeptism. A constant faith is indispensable.
Soul faith is indispensable to the action of the being. Without it man cannot move a single pace in life, much less take any step forward. Whatever he has the faith to see as possible in himself and strive for, that he can create and become.
It is a discovery of the eternal truth of our being, a passing above the limited truth of the mental, vital and physical to the full truth of our spiritual nature to which we aspire. We can become aware of the presence of the universal Shakti.
The positive sense of freedom is to be universal in soul ... one in spirit with God ... one with him in the law of our being; this is the integral freedom of the spirit.
A purified heart is rid of anger, fear, hatred and all shrinking and repulsion; it has a universal love; it can receive the delight which God gives in the world. When all deformations are got rid of, the lower mentality is purified, ready for perfection.
The deformation preventing the purity is desire; its root is vital craving for that which we feel we have not, for possession, satisfaction, instilling a sense of want and is, in its nature, insatiable.
The true emotive soul, the psyche within, is not a desire-soul, but a soul of pure love and delight, that can only emerge when the life of desire is no longer the characteristic action of our being.
All life is a secret yoga, Nature's growth towards the discovery of the divine principle hidden within her.
