The Water Crisis – A talk of Giulio from the Water Group
Recently Giulio from the Water Group took us on a journey across billions of years to explore what is beneath our feet: how, when and where did it form, and what are the repercussions on Auroville and the bioregion’s water realities.
As a trained geologist, Giulio articulated the severity of the water crisis by examining how the aquifers beneath us were formed and the dangers of over-extraction.
He showed why we must stop drawing water from the ground and instead diversify our sources of water, such as re-using wastewater, collecting rainwater, and more.
This 2-hour long talk is well worth every minute for a full understanding of the current water situation.
