Homage mantras to Saint Thyagayya
In this part of India, the months December and January reverberate with musical compositions of Saint’Tyagaraja, one of the Trinity of Carnatic Music. There is a belief that during this time, the main audience is the Saint himself. The musicians sing and play their compositions as their offerings and receive blessings that nourish them in their Sadhana.
This past Sunday 22th at the SAWCHU in Bharas Nivas, the Cultural Pavilion of India organized a celebration of spirituality and traditions, throughout this musical homage to Saint’Tyagaraja. Here some mantras composed by the Saint in honor to Lord Rama, performed by the musician Hamsadvani and her music students from Pondicherry, Sowmya, Sanjana, Swathi and Tantya.
