Remembering Kannan as he moves on
Kannan represents a generation of persons who are etched in my memory as they played a large role in the life we shared of Auroville’s early struggles and hopes. The straightforward devotion to the Mother is touching to remember as the particular caliber of this generations contribution leaves us. Frederick remembers fondly the times that he shared with Kannan. We also discuss the ancient funeral rights practiced in the village and those that we are developing as an emerging culture to better express our beliefs in the absence of a religion
