Singer and performer voice artist Mizgina Rengin interviewed by Margherita

Mizgina Rengin is a freelance singer and performance voice artist who had a workshop at Svaram music school in Auroville, here interviewed by Margherita.

Mizgina Rengin born in 1977 in a Kurdish Family in Turkey.
After ?nishing high school in Turkey, she emigrated to Germany at the age of 19 where her father lived.
She graduated from German high school and trained as an educator in 2008. Since 2010 is she developing her musical way of life in different ways.
In addition to educational activities, she studied cultural diversity in music education” (2015 –
2017) at the Hildesheim Univesity, Center for World Music.
As a singer she deals with integration and identity in her projects.
In the independent scene she performs as a solo artist and draws from improvised, experimental vocals new sound bridges and music worlds.
She is currently leading integration music projects funded by the Landesmusikrat with refugees and locals.
Projects developed by her have the approach “Music is feeling and through feeling we ?nd access to each other.
In her singing Workshop she will playfully teach us how to activate our voice, improvise and gain new strength for life.
