Smt Bombay Jayashree
Matri Arpanam – a once in a Blue Moon(*) happening. 30th August 2012. As twilight descended over the Park of Unity the candles around the stage became brighter while the fragrance of jasmine and tuberose from the flower decoration wafted ever stronger in the air. The marvel and wonder, however was the beautiful moon that hung in the sky like the quiet blessing of the Universal Mother who consented to make the evening as beautiful as possible for Her children who came to experience this special evening at the amphitheater of the Matrimandir.
A quiet crowd gathered there and waited expectantly for the rare experience of listening to one of the most renowned classical singers of India, Smt Bombay Jayashree make her musical offering to the Mother in this extraordinary venue. Needless to say, it was a most beautiful experience for all and a great priviledge to have heard her sing to the Mother which concluded with a concentration of a few minutes by all. She wrote back:
"I am so grateful for the wonderful experience which we will cherish in this life time and am so fulfilled with The Mother’s grace. I can’t put more in writing but we all feel it immensely and completely."

(*)When there are two full moons in a month it is called the ‘blue moon’, a rare occurrence. The expression ‘once in a blue moon’ meaning something rare comes from this occurrence. The next ‘blue moon’ is going to in July 2015.’
