Synthesis of Yoga

The Synthesis of Yoga is a volume in which Sri Aurobindo gives a thorough, minutely detailed explanation of his method of Integral Yoga; he also examines the traditional forms of various yogas.

This reading, beginning from page 612, consists of the second half of Chapter 1 The Principle of the Integral Yoga, found in Part 4, The Yoga of Self-Perfection.

” … The triple way of knowledge, works and love becomes the key-note of the whole Yoga, for that is the direct means for the soul in mind to rise to its highest intensities where it passes upward into the divine oneness. … the reason why the Yoga must be integral … Integrlity becomes then an essential condition of this Yoga. … by any single power of the soul-nature we can meet with the Divine; each at its height rises up into infinite and absolute … for all the hundred separate paths meet in the Eternal.”
