Sufi Culture with Latif Bolat

The Tibetan Pavilion was packed on April Tuesday 26th in the evening as Turkish Sufi Musician and Sufi scholar, Latif Bolat, came to give a lecture on the journey of the mystics from Islam, the mystic Sufi tradition. It took him exactly one hour and a half to go through over 26 000 years of history and making it very clear to the audience on how Sufism was born and developed throughout the centuries and the world.

As Latif Bolat read Sufism poetry in Turkish, Mita translated both in English and in Hindu with him playing his Zaz instrument. Latif Bolat also sang a mystic Sufi song in the praise of Mohamed and of Ali and kindly invited the audience to end up the evening singing altogether on the notes of his stringed musical instrument.
Latif Bolat is giving several talks and lecture during the week. He came to Auroville through the connection of Parbati and both will offer a concert at the Barat Nivas Auditorium on Saturday April 30th at 8 pm.
