Interview Nuria music conductor

In Bharat Nivas the Auroville Choir and the Youth Choir accompanied by the various talented professional musicians of the Instrumental Ensemble, presented selections of song extolling peace, by Karl Jenkins.

An astonishing, graceful concert once again, not only in agreement with the world wide wishes for world peace but also putting forward the spirit of Auroville, whereby people of different origins, race, age, sex strive harmoniously toward one common goal.
Once again the beauty of the concert brought forward a collaborative work of many starting with Nuria, Auroville choirs, musicians, sound engineering by Joel, and Jean and Mahi on lights, as well as others.

This interview of Nuria has been done on Tuesday 29th.

Auroville Choir

Come and relive the moment of soothing melodies. The choir preformed a classic and modern repertoire. In total ten songs where sung, some sacred, contemporary, gospel, traditional and pop choral music to the delight of the audience., The choir is mainly Aurovillian but some participants from Pondecherry also. With Nuria in the driving seat and Matt on the piano nothing could go wrong. Thanks to the Auroville Choir it was a great success again. PS The Choir is looking for some male voices.

Golden Thread of Music

"Let this golden thread of music tie all of us together" was the leading note in the cultural program prepared by children of Deepanam School together with teachers. This program was a just a glimpse of what they’ve been doing trough school year. And indeed, in the leading tone of music they showed us different things – from classical Indian dance, trough theater play of African fairy tale, sung songs composed by children, compositions played on piano to capoeira in which children are very active on Deepanam School.

Auroville Choir Concert Weekend

Featured in today’s news is an interview with Nuria, who conducts the Auroville Choir, who creates a space, an atmosphere that brings out the joy and willingness in us to sing together in peace and harmony. This weekend’s concert 19th and 20th March at Pitanga will be sung acappella and, in this concert, there will be a surprise!

In all circumstances of life you must always be very careful to guard against despair…the habit of being sombre, morose, of despairing, does not depend on events but on a lack of faith in the nature…one who has faith, even if only in himself, can face all difficulties, all circumstances, even the most adverse without discouragement or despair, fighting like a man to the end. +an extract from a comment from the Mother on an aphorism from Sri Aurobindo

Music as a Field of Growth

After recent evening of jazz standards we talk with Nuria, who is already an Aurovilian for almost 20 years. As she told us, that was the inner call, a strong connection with the Mother that brought her,and her partner here. Since music is her love, passion…life, Nuria is involved in projects or things that they got to do something with it. Music is to her also field of growth, and a spiritual experience. Beside leading the choirs children and adult’s one she’s actively involved in Kripa, which supposed to bring some more so needed space for the artist of three fields.
