Synthesis of Yoga Pt. 1, Ch. 7

Here is the second reading of this chapter, Standards of Conduct and Spiritual Freedom, picking up on bottom of page 192, through page 197.

Sri Aurobindo points out the four man standards of human conduct, on an ascending scale: first is personal need, second is the good of the collective, third is an ideal ethic and last is the highest divine law of the nature. Man begins with only the first two. Howeve,r the true business of man is to express a growing image of the Divine. It is to this end that Nature, knowingly or unknowingly, is working.

49th Foundation Day of Auroville

Right after the sunrise bonfire at the Matrimandir, Aurovillians have participated in the photo gathering at Tibetian Pavilion on 28 February 2017 to celebrate the 49th Foundation Day of Auroville.

Participants were formed in the shape of ‘The Mother’s symbol’ which resembles the message of human unity and and divine consciousness. The photos were captured by the drone camera organized by Max and other members of Auroville International.

Speaking to Auroville Radio, Mr. Julia, an American who has been at Auroville International since its foundation said that this 49th Foundation Day is just special because Auroville would be gearing up for the golden jubilee celebrations next year and would cherish all the activities done so far at Auroville. He also thanked the local authorities especially the people of Pondicherry who have been generous is extending help and the helping spread the mission of human unity and peace for global development and divine consciousness.

Kavitha from Youth Link and Anandi from the Realization of Auroville have expressed their views at the program.

CAT11: Progressive Economy

Economy is the topic everyone in Auroville is pondering on and has a reasonable idea on what is going wrong, but how to get it in line with the ideals of Auroville is the question?
How can the economy of our future be, progressive, inclusive and sustainable?
The Lotus group, represented by Micheal and Yves made a fantastic presentation in the last CAT’s get together. The presentation was structured, rehearsed and beautifully articulated. It was designed in a unique manner, so that all the content of the matter is properly presented and no clutter of opinions is created. All the questions regarding the presentation can be directed to the Lotus group for which they will answer on the Auronet. Anyone who has an opinion or wants an idea on economy must listen to this program and then participate in the series of round table discussions which will be organized by the group to formulate their final proposal which hopefully can be presented and later acted upon by the Community.

While love songs had been an important part of reggae since the late 1960s, the style was given a greater focus and a name in London in the mid-1970s.[1] Despite the name, lovers rock is not a rock subgenre or related to it.
