The group identifies itself as ‘exploring prosperity’ and can be contacted at exploringprosperity@auroville.org.in . this is an open group and is open to all ideas related to steering Auroville onto a sturdy path progress and collective prosperity.

From Waste Management (using waste material to produce different objects such as chairs, cushions, huts and other things, and also segregating the waste), to Sustainability and Education. The idea is to focus on educating future generations and share our research with the world.

Green Acres

Sigrid is dedicated to raising funds to purchase land for green practices. The fund raising project is called Green Acres.
She briefly explains how the land prices within Auroville have increased over the past 10 years and developments within the area are on the increase. Already, various pieces of land within the Green Belt have been bought by outside parties. Further encroachment is very likely to happen where land has not yet been acquired by Auroville.
To help the fund-raising project we need to create public awareness of the importance and urgency of securing the land for Auroville; and we need to provide information of the good work done so far in the green belt area. The appeal is to all people of the world to help acquire land for this evolutionary project.

Poppo on Archeology

Poppo Pingel is a celebrated architect, who came to Auroville in 1968 for the inauguration as the German delegate. In this interview, Pingel talks about his passion for archeology that stayed with him throughout his life, but found an outlet in Auroville. He describes his various findings from his very first excavation attempt to his recent discoveries as well as the challenges that accompanied them. Additionally, he discusses the archeological park he established (which is situated on Crown Road between Solar Kitchen and Visitors Centre) and explains why he chose to create a ‘park’ instead of a conventional historical site.

Consciousness is a reality inherent in existence. It is there even when it is not active on the surface, but silent and immobile; it is there even when it is invisible on the surface, not reacting on outward things or sensible to them, but withdrawn and either active or inactive within; it is there even when it seems to us to be quite absent and the being to our view unconscious and inanimate.

Radio as vehicle of information

Brief interview with attendees of the General Meeting held at Unity Pavilion on Monday the 24th of April. The topic was to discuss a proposal to restructure the Town Development Council.
Some of the comments made were that “”we need more collaboration in order to develop Auroville together”; “we need more involvement by residents in these meetings”;” and “we could submit our questions prior to the meeting””.
Generally everybody agrees that “overall, these meetings and the way they are prepared show a good attempt in moving towards the development of Auroville”.

Three Maskmen (Where is Tamanna?)

Last School Theater presents sequence of Three Masken and Where is Tamanna?; another comedy play written and directed by Dyuman. Three Maskmen, petty clumsy thieves who with their elaborated plans aspire to be big “fishes”. Does the complexity of twist and turns in plan bring the wanted result?
Play is staged and produced by students of Last School of school year 2016/17, and we have a chance to see some already proven actors, and some good new ones.
